• The IRS recently announced that it is holding more than $25 million of undeliverable 1990 refund checks that were returned to the IRS by the Post Office. In most cases, the checks were mailed by the IRS but were not deliverable due to a change of address. The IRS is encouraging taxpayers to notify the IRS of any change of address by completing and submitting a Form 8822 whenever they move. Taxpayers who have not received a refund check for 1990 should call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
